Latest Art and Book Review: The Lie Spinners

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all are keeping in good health.

After quite a few months of sabbatical, I took to photomanip once again. It’s a great way to de-stress and freshen up over the weekend.

My latest digital artwork is my interpretation of the final battle in the book ‘Deception Dance‘ by Rita Stradling. I really loved the book and when I read through the second book (an ARC) this vision kept going in my head, and so you have The Final Battle. I share this here with you. Hope you all like it as much as I enjoyed making it. 🙂

And here’s my review of Lie Spinners  the latest work by Rita Stradling :

The Lie Spinners (The Deception Dance, # 2)The Lie Spinners by Rita Stradling

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved the first book-‘Demon Dance’ and was looking forward to the second book. I am glad to say that it is so much more than what I was expecting.

Rita Stradling creates an intense plot that is edgy, thrilling and has many OMG moments. There is a whole new world of demons and demon hunters-a world of deceit, treachery, and cold-blooded politics; where everyone has a hidden agenda and will do anything to achieve it.

The story is exciting, more gripping and fast-paced as compared to the first book, and I was disappointed when it ended. Characters mature so does the author. Many new characters are introduced in this book, and there are surprises at every turn of the page.

A bit of editing may still be required, along with a thorough once over. Couple of spelling and grammar mistakes were visible, but these are minor hiccups, easily reparable.

To sum-up-the book is a good read, and I would recommend it to everyone. Rita has done a good job and is definitely an author to watch out for.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book Review: The Deception Dance by Rita Stradling

Couple of weeks back I stumbled upon this  giveaway by an author I had not heard of. Rita Stradling was sharing her book – ‘The Deception Dance’ in exchange for a review and greedy as I am 😉 for new books, I jumped right in at the chance.  To be very honest, the cover had not been very appealing. It was the blurb that she had shared that kind of drew me in.

A few days later her email came with  news that I won the book. When I read it, I was truly impressed. The lady sure packs a punch. Read on for more about the book.

Thank you Rita,  for sharing your work and I look forward to reading more about Raven. 🙂

The Deception Dance (The Deception Dance, #1)The Deception Dance by Rita Stradling

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I got this book as part of a giveaway and I sure am glad that I got the chance to read it. This is a really good book. Very enjoyable, well-written, with a very clear storyline.

All elements that go in the making of an entertaining story can be found here. There’s action, drama, romance, magic, mystery, passion, fantasy, supernatural, the good old struggle between good and evil and much more.

The story explores the adventures of one Raven Smith and the ensuing battle between good and evil that weaves its web around her. I liked Raven’s character though many times she did remind me of Bella (Twilight).

The flow of the story is smooth and almost effortless that you would not want to put it down. Though I did find a few hiccups in a couple of places where I had to go back a few lines, but one can easily ignore these and enjoy the book. In no time I found myself close to the end of the book and it saddened me because I just didn’t want it to end. I was left with so many questions on what would happen next … would love to read more.

DD was a very interesting book and for those who love a touch of romance, passion and fantasy all-in-one, should definitely go on and read it.
