Lucky 7 Meme

So I gave a quick glance over to all the comments and messages on my blog and I was pleasantly surprised ——My fellow bloggers have been so sweet and thoughtful . I have been tagged for the Lucky 7 Meme and also received three nominations to different awards and it is just overwhelming. Since each of the concerned deserve a special mention, I have decided to write separate blogs for each award.

So here goes….

The first one that I would like to express my thanks for (am I sounding like someone receiving an Oscar – sure feels like it) would be to Mel for tagging me on the Lucky 7 Meme . Thanks a lot Mel.

In keeping with the tradition, here are the rules for Lucky 7 Meme

1.) Go to the 7th or 77th page of your Work in Progress.

2.) Go to the 7th line of the page.

3.) Copy the next 7 sentences or paragraphs. Remember, they must be as they are typed.

4.) Tag 7 authors.

5.) Let them know they’re it!

Pulling out the excerpt from my ongoing work was a tad bit tough ’cause not even a quarter of it has been put down and whatever has been , is in a bad shape. But nevertheless, a rule is a rule. So here goes…. These lines are from the 7th  page of my book. A lot of work still needs to be done on this, still I am happy to share this draft with you all. So enjoy! ( would love to know what you think of it)

Title : to be decided

*Coming Soon*

A thousand things went through her mind as the car shuttled on the dirt road. Bodhi’s words were going around in her mind and Claire kept turning them over and over, trying to make some sense of them.

What did he mean by all that he was saying? What did Maxwell’s family do?  She tried to remember any reference to his family that she may ever have heard. She could not recall much, except for few conversations from many years ago.  There had been subtle references of a cult in the olden times, the period referred to as the dark era. There had been a house of worship that was destroyed, being tainted by rumors of human sacrifices. But that had been so long ago and as every place has its own share of legends and folklore, she had dismissed these stories too as one. However she did clearly remember her father talking of a lone voice of dissension that stood against it all- Maxwell’s father. But that had to be a good thing. Right! What could possibly had happened to come back to bite them now and why?

I hope to be able to get this one done soon. But we’ll see. For now , I would like to tag 7 of my fellow writers. And they are —

T.W. Dittmer

Teri at bflyzone

Jason Alan at poetryofamadman

David McGowan

Inside the mind of a fantasy writer

Gwen Perkins

Paula Acton

Thanks Mel once again. 🙂
